About the Role:

Liberty Lending is looking for a Direct Mail Marketing Director that will be responsible for managing and growing our direct mail business for personal loans and additional products in the future. The director will work with the brand, credit risk, data scientists, and product and engineering teams to drive new customers and promote longer-term brand awareness.

This candidate should be obsessed with understanding customer communications and creative, segmentation and consumer behavior, process, and how direct mail drives the business in collaboration with other marketing and communication channels to result in an outsized effect. This role will report to the Chief Revenue Officer with an opportunity to develop and build his/her own team. Lastly, the role is geographically flexible.

COVID-19 Considerations:

Liberty Lending is currently remotely due to COVID-19, but we are asking for flexibility going forward as circumstances change and we determine to transition teams back to work in the office. The following are requirements to perform this role while working from home:

  • Have a quiet, dedicated space at home that meets your ergonomic needs where you can work uninterrupted
  • Have high speed internet
  • Some positions require a direct connection into your modem/router (not via wifi)
  • Be comfortable trouble shooting technical issues without in-person IT support

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in direct mail, 8+ years in direct/digital marketing in total
  • Prior financial services a plus
  • Proven track record of building a business and operating in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to clearly articulate strategy, and then execute
  • Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and mind-set, a focus on possibilities and not obstacles
  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and change


Responsibilities:

  • Manage the direct mail business from beginning to end including strategy, list selection, creative development, forecasting, testing, mail vendor management, credit risk and bureau partnerships, results and continuous improvement
  • Partner with analytics and decision sciences to develop segmentations, measurement, response and attribution models, and pricing including the exploration of proven and new data sources
  • Partner with digital marketing channels to develop overall marketing strategy and enhance the effectiveness of paid and programmatic digital channels, i.e. ‘1+1=3’
  • Work with Customer Insights team to monitor competitors and provide recommendations for testing and optimization
  • Work with engineering teams to build out the customer experience to offer best-in-class shopping and conversion journe
  • Work closely with the brand team to develop creative that delivers on our mission, personality, and tone
  • Own and optimize budgets to drive results, create learning agendas
